Rolex, Official Timekeeper to the Ryder Cup 2010, will put in place one of its largest clocks ahead of next year’s tournament, at the world class Celtic Manor Resort.
In a spectacular feat of engineering, the signature Rolex timepiece will be positioned on the front elevation of the new 2010 Clubhouse, just days before the 2009 Celtic Manor Wales Open.
The clock, which is one of only two Rolex clocks of this size in existence, measures 2.75m in diameter, weighs over 350kg and, due to its sheer size and weight, will be winched into position by a crane.
The new clock will be unveiled on Tuesday 26th May at the 2010 clucb house by David Cutler, the General Manager of Rolex UK and Dylan Matthews the Chief Executive of the Celtic Manor Resort.
